Introducing Street Hope TN’s New Logo!
June 30, 2017

Partners and Prayer Warriors,

After a thorough search process, the Street Hope TN Board joyfully introduces Devin Payne as our new Executive Director. Devin began working part-time for Street Hope TN in March while she was finishing up commitments with her previous employer; she is now the full-time Executive Director of Street Hope TN.

Devin is a native of Knoxville and a Powell High School graduate. She comes from a solid Christian family and has been an active part of First Baptist Powell. While Devin was in high school, her 20-year-old sister, Jordan, was tragically killed in a car accident. Because of Jordan’s example of compassion for the hurting and the lost, Devin was inspired to carry out her sister’s legacy, recognizing this as a calling from God on her life. It was not until she attended a Passion Conference as a college student that she understood more specifically what that calling meant. The theme of the conference was sex trafficking. As the reality of this evil was described, Devin was devastated and knew that God wanted her to be a part of the solution. The following year Devin was on mission in Africa when she felt the Lord leading her to change her major and pursue experience in the non-profit sector. As a result, she went on to complete internships with non-profits like HealthCare 21 and Helen Ross McNabb. After graduating Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee, she accepted a position as the Born Drug-Free TN Coordinator, and was then promoted to Youth Initiatives Director at the Metro Drug Coalition (MDC) where she had served since 2015. While there, she oversaw the Youth Metro Drug Coalition (YMDC) and she also spoke before countless groups of students and adults in East Tennessee. In addition to her work, and due to the correlation between drugs and DMST, Devin engaged in the fight against sex trafficking by volunteering with the Community Coalition Against Human Trafficking (CCAHT). Devin’s most appealing trait, however, is her passionate love for Jesus. She has a strong conviction that He is the answer for those affected by DMST and believes He empowers those of us who desire to stop this evil. We think you will be encouraged by her professionalism, enthusiasm, and infectious commitment to Christ.

Devin’s passion translates into a big vision for Street Hope TN. Work has already begun to address the issues of domestic minor sex-trafficking and child sexual exploitation through awareness, prevention, and restoration of the victims of this horrible crime. Stay tuned for more exciting changes and updates happening at Street Hope TN. Your support and prayers are essential as we enter this next phase of accomplishing our mission to end sex slavery.

Fighting the good fight,

Chad Sparks
